Ideas That Come to Mind

Et tu, Brute?

A screenshot taken from a Tesla promotional video showing Optimus being trained via motion capture.

This image from Tesla shows how the company is using humans to “teach” robots to imitate human movement – to manifest the physical side of AI. A lofty goal for a company that designed a motor vehicle that has come to be referred to as a dumpster and rockets that lately don’t get into orbit. Not to mention how well that company’s leader Elon Musk has managed his assignment as DOGE czar.

Yesterday President Trump postulated that former President Biden had been assassinated at some point during his term and replaced with a robot. Interesting … do you suppose the wizard of dumpsters (who is unable to make a robot that acts like a human) was able to create a robot that can perfectly imitate “an elderly man with a poor memory” right down to the stumble in his step?

I’m no computer genius or robotics engineer, but I do read. AI often states total fantasies as fact. Which of these two presidents does that sound like? And robots lack the grace of the human form in motion. Which of these presidents does that sound like? If I were to liken either of them to Frankenstein, it would not be the former president. Not to mention which of these presidents best exhibits the sentiments of Marvel’s Ultron, “a criminally insane rogue sentient robot dedicated to the extermination of humanity,” according to the Marvel Comics website.

So, to Donald Trump’s claim that Joe Biden could be a robot, I have to ask, “Et tu, Brute?”
