Platypus Thoughts

The United States are not united. This administration does not speak for the majority of Americans. The majority of the American people are shocked at what is happening to our country, to our neighbors, to our allies, to ourselves. We are reeling with disbelief at the tide of hate, greed and corruption that is being perpetrated in our name.

We do not support the idea that America has no obligation to the well-being of the rest of the world – or to the welfare of its own people. We do not believe the current group of people “running” this country are interested in anything more than consolidating and perpetuating their own power.

While we are getting our act together to take our country back from the brink of this madness, we ask that you remember us as the friends and allies we still are, and remember that the majority of us did not vote for this. We are in shock. Our friends and neighbors are being thrown out of their jobs. The safety nets we have created to help our own people are under attack. We do not believe the lies being told by our leaders.

This administration is barrelling toward the destruction of everything our country was founded upon – our Constitution, Bill of Rights, state laws, and a non-partisan judiciary. We don’t know what form the revolution will take, but we are preparing ourselves for the battle to come.
